Everything you need to create your wedding invitation, step by step. Each guide shows you exactly where to click, with screenshots and short videos. Building your invitation is free, and nothing reaches your guests until you decide to send it.
Getting started
- Create your accountCreating your account takes three short steps: Couple, Design and Account. It's free, and no credit card is needed to start.
- Find your way around the dashboardAfter you log in, you land on Overview. It shows where you are, your countdown to the big day, your guest numbers and what's left to do.
Your invitation site
- Add your names, date and venueYour names, date and venue are the first things guests see on your invitation. You set them in the General tab.
- Choose your design and colourChoose the look that feels like the two of you. You can try as many designs as you like, and change your mind at any time.
- Set your languages and web addressYour invitation can speak up to four languages: English, Spanish, French and German. Here you also choose the end of your invitation's web address.
- Add your hero photosYour hero photos are the big pictures at the top of your invitation, next to your names. Depending on your design, it shows one or two of them.
- Write your texts in each languageEvery section of your invitation has its own texts: a title, a welcome message, a closing line. Here's how to make them yours, in every language you offer.
- Show, hide and reorder sectionsYour invitation is built from sections, such as the countdown, your story, the gallery and the RSVP form. Show only the ones you need, in the order you like.
- Add your venue and mapHelp your guests find the way. The Venue Location section shows where you celebrate, with a photo or map and a link to Google Maps.
- Add your story, gallery and photo albumShare a little of your journey together, show your favourite photos, and give guests a place to share the pictures they take on the day.
- Add dress code, gifts, hotels, shuttle and contactAnswer your guests' questions before they ask. All of these sections are in Configuration › Content, and each one is optional.
- Add background musicSet the mood with a song that plays on your invitation. Guests can play and pause it themselves.
- Preview your invitationBefore you publish, look at your invitation through your guests' eyes. You can preview it as often as you like, for free.
Your day and music
- Plan your wedding timelineThe timeline is the programme of your day: every moment in order, with its time, place and a short description. You decide which moments guests see.
- Build your playlist and review song suggestionsBuild the soundtrack of your day on the Music page, and let your guests suggest songs right from their invitation.
- Set up and moderate your guestbookYour guestbook collects warm words from your guests. You choose who can read them, and you approve each one.
Guests and RSVP
- Add and import your guestsYour guest list lives on the Guests page. Add guests one by one, or bring in a whole list from Excel. Once your invitation is published, each guest gets their own personal invitation link.
- Send your invitations by emailSend each guest a personal email with their own invitation link. First write the email once, then send it to the guests you choose.
- Invite your guests via WhatsAppPrefer WhatsApp? Write your message once, then send it to each guest with their own personal invitation link, straight from your guest list.
- Review and approve RSVP repliesGuests reply right on their invitation. Their replies wait for you in RSVP Approvals, so nothing changes on your guest list until you approve it.
- Get emails about replies and messagesStay up to date without checking your dashboard. Selovera can email you when a guest replies, and send you a short summary of new messages and song suggestions.
- Send from your own email serverBy default, your invitation emails are sent from Selovera's address, and that's what we recommend. If you'd rather send them from your own email address, you can use your own email server.
Publish and share
- Publish your invitationBuilding and previewing your invitation is free. When you're ready to send it, you publish it with one payment of €79 (tax included). You pay once, with nothing to pay again later.
- Share your invitation linksYour invitation has one public address, and each guest also gets their own personal link. For invitations, use the personal links.
Account
- Log in, reset your password and change languageHere's how to get into your dashboard, what to do if you've forgotten your password, and how to switch the dashboard language.
- Delete your accountIf you no longer need Selovera, you can delete your account. This removes everything for good, so please read this first.
